Need childcare recommendations for Southeast Denver with some specific criteria.

We have a 9 month old infant girl that is in need of part-time childcare. The closer to Mississippi and Parker the better but will consider between the Cherry Creek area and the Denver Tech Center.

Ideally we would like a childcare center and not an in-home care although we are willing to consider our options. We just terminated service with another in-home care provide after two weeks of being "sick with the stomach flu" then just no longer answering our calls or emails. However the problem we are having is that most centers don't take infants or require five day care.

In regards to scheduling, we are only in need of care on Thursdays and Fridays (both days from 11am until 5pm) although we are willing to go to a three day schedule if necessary.

I don't live in Denver, but as someone who just switched daycares for my kiddo, I had to chime in and give some support. I did do a bit of research, and this looks like a good, solid referral source (apologies if you already know about it). Their link to the Colorado DHS Child Care division is broken; it can be found here. I can't find where they give referrals, but a call will probably yield a good resource.

Don't know about Denver, but on our hunt, center after center said that they would only go fulltime with infants. One national chain said it's because they are required not to let other babies sleep in a crib that is set aside for a certain baby, and of course, infants need more adults with them, so having a day when they have only a few infants come isn't very cost-effective for them.

Still, I THINK the Bright Horizons chain allowed part-time care for infants, if you have one there.
