Need help figuring out monthly take home pay

My wife is applying for a $34K government job. What would be a ballpark guess at monthly take-home pay after withholding (married and one kid)? This is in Oklahoma, which has state tax, too. Just a ballpark is fine. Thanks in advance.

$2200-2400, roughly.

According to Paycheck City, it would be about $1300 bi-weekly. Visit the site and insert your wife's specific information to get a better estimate.

$1300 is just $34,000 divided by 26, or her gross biweekly pay. The poster wanted net pay. Paycheck City gives an estimate of that too, though.

$34k, claiming 1, after health insurance and 401k is exactly $878, every two weeks.

I live in Oklahoma and I have a government job. I bring home about 70% after taxes, insurance, etc. I only claim one person on my insurance, so I probably make out a little better than your wife would with three people on her insurance.

Assuming the agency pays monthly I would guestimate around $1900-2000 per check, or a biweekly check of ~$900
