What's going on in San Jose this week? How 'bout the week after?

Looking for an event guide for San Jose!

I'm looking for a good online listings for the San Jose/Silicon Valley area and I guess the bay area in general. I've just moved here and since I'm a pretty big music, movies and arts fan, I'm trying to find a guide that lets me know in a nice direct way what's going on this week, where the good gigs are and also what people are listening to/watching etc. Back in Dublin I'd use The Ticket as my event guide so I guess I'm looking for something similar! Much thanks.

I can't say how up-to-date or cool it is, but you can check http://events.mercurynews.com/

I think Bandega is exactly what you want. It's a gig guide, with reviews, focused on the Bay Area. And you can set up alerts for artists you're particularly interested in.

San Jose Events from Yelp

I love Yelp, great place with reviews for just about everything under the sun and an event page as well.
