Eastern Promise plot explanation. (spoilers) At what point and why does Semyon decide to kill Nikolai?

I stepped out briefly and missed something in the film. I saw the scene where Semyon is standing on the loading dock and asked if the Chechens knew what his son looked like but I'm assuming there is a little bit more set up that I missed.

nope that is it.

it is sort of subtle, but there is no other point when it is made *obvious* that semyon is going to kill Nikolai. the only other supporting incident is, obviously, when Nikolai gets his stars--without which he will not be mistaken for Kirill. i think most of the audience doesn't know anything until the other guy in the bath is seen putting on his clothes when he is supposed to be going to the bathroom.

What brevator said.

But I knew a little earlier: as soon as I saw Nikolaï with the mustachioed guy to whom Semyon had asked about the Chechens. (My wife and I have a secret code for when we can predict a "surprising" outcome, and a secret simplified high five when it is proved right. I got one there. :-) )
