import DVD sources (US)

Anybody have trusted sources for import DVDs (from elsewhere to the US, specifically)? Amazon.co.uk is good for Brit stuff, but wither Europe? XploitedCinema looks like a strong possibility (The Spanish release of Chimes at Midnight! The Italian release of El Topo!), but I have no idea if they're reputable.

Your best bet is to do a little bit of lurking over in the International DVD forum at dvdtalk.com. For Spanish releases you might want to use dvdgo.com. I refuse to use them as they only ship by courier and I don't like the customs fees that go along with that. However, I've heard good things about them. There's a thread on dvdtalk that lists international sellers. I almost always find buying from them cheaper than one of the "cult resellers".

not sure if its exactly what you're looking for, but Masters of Cinema is great for keeping track of releases

One DVDTalk mentioned seller of high repute (and with which I am satisfied) is dvdoo.dk -- the site's not in English, but it's easy enough to tough your way through.

I sure would like to know the answer to this too.

I'm trying to get a DVD copy of septej, but I can't navigate any of the Czech sites. (if there were amazon.cz, I could probably bumble my way through - I did it for .jp once and got (basically) what I was looking for.

on preview: "Søgeresultat - Din søgning gav ikke noget resultat!"
Rats!, I don't need to speak ... [what is that, Danish?] ... to know that means "no luck".

Masters of Cinema isn't what I was looking for, but it is awesome nevertheless and much appreciated (as are the other suggestions).

I've actually been wondering something similar...but I have a laptop. I've got a FireWire port, but is there such a thing, say, as an external hard drive with WiFi access? Something that my computer would "see" whenever I'm in my home network and treat just like another hard drive?

shoot. That comment wasn't meant for this thread.

What I meant to say was:

I like AsianXpress for Hong Kong and other Asian DVDs. Ordered from them numerous times, and never had a problem.
