Cheaper hotel near 4Seasons Chinzan-so in Tokyo

I am going to a conference at the Four Seasons Hotel at Chinzan-so in Tokyo. I can't afford to stay there. Any recommendations of nearby hotels that are cheaper?

This isn't exactly what you're asking for but you may be able to find a local to host you through couchsurfing?

Are you willing to take the subway? How long of a trip are you willing to take? What's your budget?

Anyway, if you're willing to take the subway, I can recommend the Asia Center. Cheap, clean, and private, but not particularly close. Should be about 20 minutes on the subway.

Mejiro, where the Four Seasons is located, is one stop away from Ikebukuro on the Yamanote Line. You should be able to find many business hotels to stay in Ikebukuro. Examples: here , here, here. Those are just the few places that I picked up that had English sites. And I'm sure someone else will come along and suggest staying in a love hotel, of which there are tons in Ikebukuro...
