Can the hive mind get the scratch out of my aviator shades?

I have a pair of cheapo aviator sunglasses that I love. Any way I can get the scratch out of the lens?

I was living with the scratch (which is about half an inch long) even though it directly crosses my line of vision. Then I was watching TV and I saw an ad for a product that would remove scratches from your car's paint job! And I got to thinking, would that work for my beloved glasses? I'm reluctant to test it, since I don't want to damage the slick mirrored tint.

If not, is there anything else that might work?

an optician may be able to replace the lenses

Don't waste your money on Lens Doctor. Here's a discussion on repairing scratched eyeglasses.
