Need a movie id. I saw it in the 80's and the plot was that the U.S.S.R. had created an "Anytown, USA" and kidnapped some americans to populate it with to study/observe. I thought it was titled "Back in the U.S.S.R." but alas the one on IMDB is not it.

Are you freaking kidding me? I was describing this movie to my wife two nights ago, and couldn't remember the name to save my life. Count me in as interested.

That reminds me of the propaganda film the government made (I presume) in 1962 called Red Nightmare. It had Jack Webb (of Dragnet fame) as the narrator. I believe it was republished later as a VHS called "The Commies are coming! The Commies are coming!." Good stuff.

There was a very similar plot in an Alias episode, I believe.

There was an Alias episode witha similar plot, and a Nelson Demille novel (The Charm School) that also used this idea.

And co-stars the delicious Deborah Foreman, of Valley Girl, Real Genius, and My Chauffeur non-fame. (Yes, I was a teenager in the '80s, why do you ask?)
