Question: iFilm to harddrive to powerpoint directions

VideoFilter: How to download video from youtube or iFilm to my hard drive?

I'm asking for a friend who's putting together a powerpoint lecture for tomorrow. He'd like to embed a video clip of the promo for the video game Sabotage into his powerpoint presentation. Although iFilm has a download option on its website, I can't get it to work. We've tried on a Mac and a PC. Please don't tell me it can't be done! Oh, and it would be great if we could lose the Snickers commercial.

You'll have to grab it after the interstitial ad has played, though.

Second DownloadHelper extension. But that downloads it as a Flash file, so some sorta converter like iSquint (osx) is good to put it in to mpeg, avi, whatev...

On a Mac make a video screengrab of the YouTube movie with Snapz Pro (Demo). That way you can avoid the commercial and have no conversion degradation.

Seconding Zamzar. Works great for this sort of thing, and you can pick whatever format you want it in.

Can you find the video on Google Video? If so, you have access to the original AVI. It will be just as good as the video on the site. The problem with ZAMZAR and the other video ripping tools is that you lose quality and sync. With my method, you get the AVI straight from Google's server.
