Question: Does anyone know what movie this quote is from?

Do you know what movie this quote comes from? "I kill you once, I kill you twice, I kill you three times."

I heard this line about 10 years ago, and I have yet to figure out what movie it comes from, if any at all. Has anyone else heard this or is it just a figment of my imagination? I have been searching for the answer for a long time, and I am hopeful that one of you knows the answer! Thanks.

Unless we're thinking of two completely different instances of that "catch" phrase, it's from a sitcom. I believe it's Cafe Americain.

It sounds familiar to me too. Maybe....Chong-Lee in 'Bloodsport'?
Or, could it be Hans and Franz on Saturday Night Live?

Any kind of context at all might be nice; the image it's created in my mind is of some Three Musketeers-esque guy with a sword and possibly a twirly bad-guy moustache, saying 'ahahahaha, you think you can defeat me?', waving the sword around and non-lethally smacking the other guy in ways that obviously would be lethal if he was trying (with the 'once, twice, three times' bit as commentary, obviously). And then probably the other guy's friend sneaks up behind Mr Twirly Moustache and drops a rock on his head, or something. But this could be because I am losing my mind.

Sounds like it could be part of a magical ritual. I think in the graphic novel Preacher there's a scene where a girl missing an eye (her injury is Cassidy's fault) fires an empty gun at a photograph of Cassidy, and I think she's saying those words or something close to it. (Will check when I get home, unless someone confirms yea/nay in the meantime.)

It sounds like Kids In The Hall, but I am guessing. I don't specifically remember it being from that show.

But it would have to sound like "I keel you once..."

This is definitely Cafe Americain. I can't find anything on the web but I clearly remember that this show was about some ex pats in France. There was minor character with a beautiful French girlfriend. His shtick was that every time he would leave her side during a scene, he would utter his catch phrase of "You look at her, I keel you." There were variations on this and I think one time it was, "You look at her..., I keel you once, I keel you twice, I keel you three times!".

That my recollection anyway. I have been uttering this catch phrase for years and no one has ever known what the hell I'm talking about.

Thanks everyone! I'm thinking it might have been Cafe Americain...I'm going to check into it and see if I can find video of that quote.

And yes, Lebannen, that's the image that I have, too. But it's been so long since I heard the quote that I could be totally off.
