Name the movies

Two old movies: what were they?

These movies were old, I believe, when I saw them 40-odd years ago.

Movie#1: Pirates on the high seas, or perhaps earlier: Vikings, Greeks? Good ship and bad ship. Volcanic explosion. Good ship furls sails and rides it out, bad ship sets full sail and tries to flee. Or vice versa. Bad ship goes to the bottom. Pretty sure it's not "Jason & the Argonauts".

Movie #2: A western. Billy the Kid? Standoff in a room. Gunfighter #1 shoots notches out of gunfighter #2's ears while gunfighter #2 stands there calmly.

The second one is The Outlaw. Great movie.

"And when Huston shoots Beutel in the hand, the latter doesn't even flinch; ditto, when he pierces both his ears with bullets. Staggering disbelief."

The first one might be Mysterious Island? It has pirates, volcanic eruptions, explosions, and ships, along with hot air balloons, leather mini-dresses, and giant crabs. The leather mini-dress has nothing to do with the giant crabs.

Thanks iconomy - The Outlaw it is. I'd forgotten about the bullet in the hand too, until now.

Not sure about Mysterious Island. I'm sure I would have remembered giant bees and giant chickens.
