I'm not in San Francisco. I'm in Kansas, but I've seen passion fruit in the grocery stores in the bigger towns around here. Surely if you're living in a major metropolis like San Fran, your local grocers have passion fruit. Have you called around to ask? posted by amyms at 3:56 AM on August 18, 2007
I recently saw some at Bristol Farms in the Westfield San Francisco Shoping Center, 865 Market St. I've never seen passion fruit at any of the local farmers' markets, which I would otherwise recommend. posted by mahamandarava at 1:14 AM on August 19, 2007
It's not in San Francisco, but try the Berkeley Bowl. They have the best produce selection I've seen at a Bay Area supermarket. If anyone around here has passionfruit, it's the Berkeley Bowl.
I've seen passionfruit on sale at Whole Foods and Rainbow Grocery, but I've been to both stores in the last week and didn't see them. I also haven't seen them at the farmers' market, like, ever. posted by stonefruit at 10:24 PM on August 20, 2007
