Orange SIM in France. How much?
August 11, 2007 12:54 PM   RSS feed for this thread Subscribe

Can someone find out how much it is to buy a pay-as-you-go SIM card from Orange in France.

I have the website but I get lost. I don't speak a word.

http://www.orange.fr/

Can someone with French language skills please help me find out how much it costs for a SIM card. Bonus if you know how to top-it up.

From what I can see, 15euro and it includes 5euro credit, 10sms and 10mms.

You can topup from 5euro to 100euro (8 options).

Sorry, can't link - the links are pretty deep and the site uses a session based shopping cart. I assume it'll be similar to the UK - topup instore or by credit/debit card over the phone (though the IVR will be in French!)

My memory is it cost me 20€ for the SIM when I bought one in Paris a few months ago. Top-ups start at 5€. The cheaper ones have minutes that expire more quickly.

You could also buy one from the UK for France.

I moved to France last year and I decided to go with Virginmoblie pay-as-you-go....could be cheaper than Orange. My phone was 35 euros with a Sim card and I can buy credits at most tabacs, supermarkets and phone stores or on the internet

When I was in France, I did exactly what heatherbeth said--bought refills at tabacs or, more usually, an Orange store (I seem to remember that they were all over the place, like T-Mobile stores).
