Question: looking for 3rd party merchant account

How's Charge.com for a third party merchant account to accept credit card payments online?

Googling turns up either marketing goop, or much older reviews from WHT's archives, but I'd like to know if any recent applicants have been using it for their small businesses.

Brownpau: sorry we're not a very savvy cc processing lot. Charge.com's fees look pretty darn reasonable compared to a number of services out there. This is what you'd expect to pay for CC processing.

I think you might be able to find some whose monthly fees are less, but whose % take is larger. The tradeoff obviously depends on the volume you do.

Check with Costco, their Executive Membership includes credit card processing at what I've heard are very reasonable rates.
