Making a gameplay video

I've got to take some short sequences of gameplay off of the outputs of a gamecube, an old nintendo, and a SuperNES, and produce a CD with the video on it. Since all of the machines have RCA out, it seems pretty straight forward, right? What equipment will I need, and are there any pitfalls I should be aware of?

You need an Analog/Digital converter, like this, and a computer with firewire and a cd burner, and some software, such as Nero.

also, some video capture software. I use media100 or final cut pro but there are plenty of others.

Re your second question: you could just capture the video while you play the games, or you could play them onto a vcr and then capture from that (might be easier, but lower quality). It is very straighforward as long as you can handle the software.

for the SNES and NES you could use emulators if you don't need "perfect reproduction accuracy." Some emulators have "movie" modes where you can output AVI/MPG files or you can use screengrab programs. That would eliminate the old analog hole!
