Death by gaseous inversion?

Can you die by excreting too many things at once?

Okay. I'm going to be crude here. It's easier than trying to come up with pleasant euphemisms for everything.

Say you're taking a leak, and you also burp and fart at the same time.Is it possible to die from this? What other combinations of this phenomena, and are any of them lethal?

This post was deleted for the following reason: this is one of those rare moonbat questions that is probably better for yahoo answers. Alternate reason for deletion: WHAT ARE YOU ELEVEN??!?!?!?

Of course you can't die from that. Is there anything that makes you think you could?

Is there anything that makes you think you could?

Widespread urban legend. I heard lots of variants of this when I was a kid.

Why would this be lethal? The only thing I can think of that might remotely be a problem is an aneurysm from straining too hard.

No you can't die from that, unless someone shoots/stabs/mauls you while you're peeing, burping, and farting.

Incidentally, the tags "at," "the," "same," and "time" probably aren't useful here.

Yet again, the Straight Dope has the answer.

I, too, heard a lot of variants on this when I was a kid.

I stopped giving them any credence when I was about 12.

Why haven't you? Or are you just fucking with us?

I remember a performer once telling a story about how his entire family came down with horrible flu, culminating in a description of his son walking out to the living room, coughing, then vomiting and crapping himself simultaneously

The boy lived, but he probably wanted to die of embarrassment once he found out he was part of his father's schtick.

Response by poster: That Straight Dope answer is a little less convincing than most. After all, the doctors are posing the question to Cecil Adams.

What if THE TRIPLE THREAT caused a sudden drop in blood pressure? Could that have any effect? I need to know if I need to live in fear of this, or even the dreaded QUADRUPLE threat.

You don't need to live in fear of it. It's a ridiculous concern.

OK, now I know you're just fucking with us.

Swap burp for vomit and fart for spray, and I can safely say 'no'.

It won't kill you. But I heard that every time that happens a unicorn dies.
