Resources for Bar owners?

What are resources for Bar owners and owners of discos? Are there magazines especially for this target group? Can you buy mailing addresses? What is the easiest way to market a product to bar owners and owners of discos?

You can try buying ad space in a beverage guide, ie. a magazine for those who buy wholesale alcohol.

the one we advertise in is called Hawaii Hospitality, for obvious reasons, I don't know of the corresponding publication for the New York area

On occasion, I've filled out those 'free sub' forms to trade magazines, and I ended up receiving one geared toward (large mainstream) club owners and djs called Club Systems International. It's more targeted towards lighting/sound concerns than just strictly bar owners (ie, dive bar owners probably wouldn't be flipping through this rag). Or, as its tagline puts it: "The only magazine devoted to the look, sound, and feel of nightclubs".

But yeah, if there's a niche industry, there is a trade magazine or two for it (i used to work for a company whose entire business was based around free industry journals).
