Mystery cactus

Help identify this cactus!

I was given a clipping of this cactus by my mother and it has been growing wonderfully for almost a year... yet I still don't even know what kind of cactus it is! Can anyone help me here? Thanks!

I believe you have a Rat Tail Aporocactus. Commonly a hanging plant.

Yup, that looks like a rat's tail cactus. They look awesome in hanging baskets but keep them away from places where people might walk into them (says the voice of experience).
