90s school sex contest scandal

Back in the late 90s there was a sex scandal at a US high school or college that involved a clique of boys competing to see who could get the most lays. The scandal broke when the book that the boys were using to keep score fell into the hands of authorities. Can anyone remember where this took place?
I remember that some of the controversy revolved around the boys keeping tallies in the book along with rankings of the girls involved. The perpetrators made the round on Sally Jesse, Montel and all those other talk shows back then.
A friend brought this up in conversation and none of us can remember where it was.
