naturopath in montreal?

I need a naturopath (preferrably) or an open-minded doctor/psychopharmacologist in Montreal. (more details after the jump)

I am hoping that I can find someone who can help me get off the nasty anti-depressant I've been taking for a while. I am from the US, so I have no health insurance; my status in Canada doesn't grant me a social insurance number. I have been seeing a doctor on a semi-charity basis to get the prescription renewed, but I need someone who can actually see me as a real patient.

My friend is completely thrilled with her naturopath and shills him to anyone that will listen. I haven't been to him but another woman in our circle has and she is also happy with him. He's not cheap, afaik, (though I have no idea about going rates...) but I don't think the SIN would be an issue.

Why do you want a naturopath and not an actual doctor?

The problem might be whichever doctor's been treating you. As for not having health insurance, go to a free clinic (if you're in a large city in Canada, they probably have them) and ask them about what to do if you don't have health insurance.

Evidence-based medicine works. I can say this as someone who is 1) in neuroscience and 2) taking an antidepressant.

By which I mean I'm a neuroscience student who actually knows a few things about how antidepressants work and also, at the same time, taking an antidepressant as prescribed by my physician. So I have two areas of experience with this - as a neuroscience student and as a patient .
