Well, there is the CBDB. Though it doesn't seem to allow user ratings. posted by RGD at 5:41 PM on April 20, 2004
Check out Lambiek for a fairly comprehensive list of comic artists and their work. posted by JDC8 at 7:06 PM on April 20, 2004
The Grand Comic Book Database is a little slicker than the CBDB, and has more extensive data on each comic, but has large holes and is often down for weeks at a time. I tend to use both. posted by samh23 at 7:28 PM on April 20, 2004
Hey, in a related question, I'm ready to offload a bunch of my comics and related materials...can anyone recommend a good pricing guide that might have values for signed and/or original art and misc. items? (For example, I have one of the crew leather jackets from the first Crow movie...and more James O' Barr original and signed stuff than you could shake a stick at...but I have no idea how to value any of it, short of appraisal, and I doubt it's worth enough to justify an appraiser.) posted by dejah420 at 10:47 AM on April 21, 2004
