What's the Brisith cartoon show that has characters with noses like faucets?

Help me remember the name of this British cartoon show. It starred a bunch of little blue guys that had noses like faucets. That's all the information I have. Good luck!

Over on Yahoo answers someone suggests that it's called 'Raiders of the Lost Star', but that's not on IMDB so I can't confirm it.

Best answer: The Raccoons were Canadian but I seem to remember British narration or voice for at least one of the characters. They seem pink though and not blue.

They're probably talking about The Raccoons and the Lost Star.

I would not be surprised if this ends up being The Raccoons, despite the discrepancies between the description and the show. There's just something about that cartoon that sticks in people's heads.

Yeah, I think it's the Racoons. The evil Sneer family are aardvarks, according to Wikipedia. It had North American voices when I watched it in the UK in the early nineties, but it was on all the time over here.

Response by poster: I posted this question on behalf of a friend who was being driven crazy by it. She had already dismissed The Raccoons because Cyril Sneer is pink and Canadian (like me), not blue and British. But in the face of such an overwhelming response from here and a little more Youtubing, she's changed her mind. It's The Raccoons!

It's weird that the Yahoo Answers person that Paragon links to also thought that the Sneers were blue....
