Chris Kimball's Vermont

If you read Cook's Illustrated magazine, you'll see that the editor, Christopher Kimball, is always going on about the small town in Vermont he (sometimes) lives in. I don't want to turn this into a forum for pro/anti-Chris Kimball comments, but I was simply curious if anyone knows what town it is he's always talking about?

I do not (and perhaps he wants that kept private?), but he sent me a very nice email after I reviewed one of his cookbooks. My review was not 100% positive, but he said in his note that so few cookbook reviewers actually take the time to make the recipes, and he was so thankful that, whether I liked all the recipes or not, I actually tried them out before judging.

I guess only Kimball can say for sure, but he mentions Marie Briggs, the local baker, in his Yellow Farmhouse Cookbook. This review mentions that Marie Briggs baked for her neighbor, Norman Rockwell. His wikipedia entry says that Rockwell lived in Arlington, Vermont.

Based on the most recent letter, which mentions Sherman's Store and fire chief George Lewis it might be West Rupert.

Arlington jibes with what Zabasearch says which is also right near Rupert. I know he lives nowhere near here in Bethel.
