Access Password Recovery

My MS Access files are password protected. I don't know/remember what the password is. I need help on password recovery.

I was playing with users and rights setup for an Access database file. Everything was working fine until I deleted the file shortcut at my desktop screen. Then, suddenly all my other Access files are password protected. I tried to use the login and password to open the file, but it won't work. Now, I can't open any Access file (password protected), and I have no idea what is going on. Has this ever happened to you? I'm panicing now. Please help. Thanks.

Did you look in the Trash Bin? Maybe you can restore the shortcut.

Try opening the file(s) on a different computer that has Access installed. Or reinstall/repair Access on the machine that's giving you problems.

Response by poster: I took aerotive's advice and was able to open the file from other computers through the company network. So I detected the problem to be local. I located the workgroup information file created during the process of users setup. I deleted it and everything is back to normal now (no password protection). Whew.
