Question: Best blogging program for my own URL?

Best blogging program for a blog with my own URL, using a MAC, with multiple officers, and the ability to track the IP addresses of visitors.

I am looking at using TypePag, Blogger, or WordPress. I have a specialized URL to post to. I also need the ability to have multiple authors post at the same time. I also need to track the IP addresses of visitors, although if I need to use a third-party application or software I can. Finally, we will be using mostly Macs and want the most-Mac friendly interface possible.

personally, I would use a content management system such as Joomla. You can install extensions that help specialize it for blogging. Pretty nifty system. If it helps, I have an inactive site set up at www.kraigory.com if you want to look at an example of how it can work. I didn't set mine up exactly as a blog, but I know you can quite easily.

You might consider Movable Type. It can do everything that you are asking for. Easy to use and powerful with many plug-ins.
http://www.fancyfork.com/

(see, no link!) as an example of a wordpress page i put up for someone. very simple, multiple editors across north america... and nice looking too.

I work with the Movable Type team, and can confirm that MT works great on Macs and was indeed originally created on a Mac. TypePad's built on the same basic engine, though, and would be hosted (i.e. not running on your Mac, but on a server on the web) but then you don't have to install or configure anything and can just get up and running, with stuff like visitor stats built in. Email me if I can help.
