Do you know what this game is that I found at a garage sale?

Help me identify this antique wooden game.

I bought it at a garage sale: a linen drawstring bag marked "Carroms" and "The Carrom Company" and "1889". Inside are 10 wooden pins that resemble 2" high bowling pins. There are also 3 colors of wooden rings that fit over the pins. The rings are red, green and blue.

Can you help me find the name of the game, it's value (if any) and a photo?

I'm guessing you know that there's a game called Carrom?
It has Carrom men, which your wooden pins could be. Wikipedia suggests that in American Carrom the men are often disk shaped.

If you want to play it, you'll need a board though.

Here's The Carrom Company's vintage stuff page.

You did google this didn't you?

Seriously. Try a google image search for "carrom pin ring" and see what you come up with.

Not sure if you're still checking but here's the BoardGameGeek page for Carrom, with pictures and instructions.
