Why the heck isn't mefi loading!?

I'm asking mefi why ask.mefi doesn't work!
Ever since I got a new ISP, metafilter won't load!
This has been going on for 2 weeks; I figured the site was just down.
I tried accessing metafilter on my boyfriend's computer, but it didn't load on his either, so I deduced it is our internet connection.
Right now, I am using a friend's dialup account and yes it is working.
So what's the deal?! What could possibly be the problem?
I have had absolutely no problems with any other site -- it's only mefi!
In case you need to know, I'm using a Mac, and we've got ADSL1.

Maybe there should be a link to a solution in the sidebar. If a solution exists. I was having this problem for weeks until my internet went out for some sort of upgrade and suddenly metafilter worked again. I just thought it was a problem on my end until I saw a thread like this last night. Clearly this is a problem that a lot of people are having.

Response by poster: Haha, weird! Sorry I didn't search, I incorrectly assumed this was a unique problem. Thanks guys! Hope the info helps.
