Do users on ebay.uk see what is available on ebay.com?

I live in the US, but have some records that I think would appeal more to European record buyers. If I list them on ebay.com, would they show up on ebay.uk (and vice versa)? Or should I just list them on the uk site?

They show up, but they're marked with a US flag and we all avoid them, because y'all be scammers

It has recently changed and I know that a lot of UK items no longer appear on ebay.com, I'm not sure if the reverse is true. A lot of of UK sellers now login and list items on ebay.com rather than co.uk so they get the exposure in the United States. Certainly when the "Worldwide" box is checked during a search items from ebay.com used to show up fine. If in doubt just login to the uk site.

They only show up if you say you'll deliver things internationally. Even then, depending on your search settings, they might be ghettoised to a small "sellers in other countries" listing at the bottom of the results page.

When I'm on eBay UK, the default option seems to be to show items from UK sellers only. I can click an option to show from Worldwide sellers and it then shows me items from foreign sellers willing to ship to the UK.

Well, I've seen it where the reverse is not true; things on ebay.co.uk did not appear on ebay.com. And the seller was willing to ship to the US, so I'm not sure if it was a mistake or if reklaw is incorrect.

I'm half confirming exactly what everyone else has said. The default search results show items from .co.uk only. Clicking "See all items including those available from international sellers." brings up the results for items on .com and that can be shipped to the UK.

I used to buy a lot of vinyl from the UK on ebay that i found with no fancy searching. Though this was years ago and I don't know if it works in reverse, from responses already given it looks like no.

However, I will add that record collecting types tend to be much better searchers and will usually find something if they are interested in it and looking during the auction time, just make it really clear in your listing that you will gladly ship to europe.

Response by poster: Hmm. Thank you all for your answers. One of my records is up right now on ebay.com and I can see it on ebay.co.uk (if I search for the title). However, since the UK and US ebay use different categories, it seems it might be hard to find for those casually browsing on the UK site.

On this example, a record in the US listed under Music>Records>DJ, Dance
>Drum 'n Bass winds up in the generic Music>Records category in the UK.

If I listed it first on the UK site I could place it directly in Music>Records>12' Singles>Dance>Drum 'n' Bass.

While I agree that record collectors are pretty savvy in their ebay searches, I'm thinking I might be better off listing some of these on the UK site, if I think it is more likely to sell overseas.
