Op-shops in Brisbane/Gold Coast?

Does anyone know where the good op shops/thrift/vintage stores are in Brisbane or the Gold Coast, Australia?

Long shot, but I'd love to go have a rummage! I'm staying at Broadbeach if that helps, but I'm willing to travel. Does Byron Bay have many of these stores?

Have you tried Box Vintage? Here's there unfortunate Myspace Page. They're at 29 Vulture Street, West End.

Our Student Guild held a fashion show with stuff from all sorts of Op Shops. They had stuff from St Vincents', Salvation Army, and some other places whose name I can't recall. A lot of it was dodgy but there were some great pieces.

Half of my ball outfit was a Salvation Army skirt...got me my first boyfriend ;)

IIRC, in addition to Box Vintage on Vulture, there's also St. Vincent's on Boundary street (near the border with Vulture) and then another store in the section of stores on Hardgrave Rd (where it borders with Vulture). All in West End.
A quick google about Byron reveals this site, which mentions:
I love NAMI, its right near the Cinemas and they stock the best brands and the SA is so lovely. The necklaces there are also v. fab, one-off pieces by a local :)
There is also a good Op Shop in an shopping centery thing, its the entrance between a butcher and a cafe that is slate coloured (painted)

Also the UQ union features this page on shopping tips that gives a little more information.
Good luck and let us know what you found!

Annerley on Brissy's southside has quite a few, and quite a few very good ones, all in a row. You can find them along Ipswich Rd, starting near the Muddy Farmer (that's a pub, why not start off with a refreshing beverage?) and amble along the outbound side of the road for about 200 metres or so. There's also an awesome second hand book shop on the other side of the road, the type where you can't see the floor for piles of books.
