Question: Flower ID

What is this flower?

We have a large variety of wild flowers that we seeded into the yard, and this one seems to be doing best but doesn't seem to be one of the flowers we planted at all. We think its great but are very interested to know what it is and if it came from us or just dumb luck.

It's likely a MeFite will identify the wild flower. In the interim you might find it via searching the USDA image gallery - a good resource for plant identification.

Thanks a bunch.

Bummer to find out that the flower will shortly be dropping but at least a lot of the other stuff is starting to come into season.
