Can I use my HP ScanJet 5200C printer with my Mac?

I have an HP ScanJet 5200C, which had previosuly been used on a Windows system. I would like to use it with a Mac (OSX 1.3), but HP doesn't seem to offer driver software for it. Can it be done?

VueScan for Windows, Linux, and OS X is the best scanning softwar e I've ever used. Bought it to use with a ScanJet 7450C when the HP software was lacking in features, and I've never used anything since. More than worth the money, many times over.

The 5200C is on the Supported Scanners List as well.

your own link has the answer : >

HP has identified a third party, Second Glance Software, to provide a Macintosh connectivity solution for the HP Scanjet scanners. The product available from Second Glance is Scantastic for HP Scanners version 4.3.6. Scantastic is available through Second Glance Software or their authorized dealers. Scantastic will not be available through HP.

I have the HP ScanJet 5300C, and for the longest time I had the same problem. Then last year they came out HP PrecisionScan Pro for OS X...

I'm not sure if the software for the 5300C will work with the 5200C, but it might be worth a try.
