A good CMS that allows user submission?

Is there a good CMS for a site that allows users to upload media?

Yet another CMS question...

Im looking to create a site for a video game I enjoy playing. Id like to enable registered users (as well as myself) submit movies, pictures, and documents and have them relegated to the right sub-page.

IE - If you click on the movies link it would show all movies submitted (categories would be awesome as well).

I have tinkered with drupal, but something tells me I could find something more basic and I know about opensourcecms (and am spending too much time there).

Drupal would do all this easily. Look into CCK to create custom nodes and Views to display them the way that you want.

Joomla. I have used it extensively. It is so flexible and powerful and really well developed.

You might be able to to this with ExpressionEngine and some plugins.

just a note, there are giant problems with big uploads on a server you don't control. Nine times out of ten, the upload constraints will be set in four different places and you'll be stuck trying to figure out who to talk to change them.

YMMV, obviously.

Try out WetPaint? It seems to be made for this sort of thing.

e107 is very user-friendly and easy to install and set up. It has built-in admin control of user uploads, and there are plenty of upload-related plugins available.
