What 1950s or 1960s TV show theme song sounds like Dragnet?

It sounds like this Dragnet closing song [YouTube]. The very same type of march rhythm and the exact same tempo, but it sounds a little darker and is accompanied by steel rhythm guitar (very slightly Batman theme-ish). Maybe there was a Dragnet knockoff show? It's not Peter Gunn, which sounds entirely different anyway.

I heard the song on XM Radio's 1960s station the other day, if that helps any.

Best answer: Argh I wish I had sound here at work. The very first thing that popped into my mind was the theme to Highway Patrol, which my mother forced me to watch in reruns, for reasons I still have yet to understand. There's a wav (remember them?) of the theme at the bottom of that link. I also thought of the theme to Get Smart.

Best answer: I agree with iconomy. From the description it sounds like "Get Smart"
