Ever see a cat eat like a kid?

Isn't this unusual? I just watched (and filmed 25 sec.) one of my cats eat by picking up kibble and lifting it to his mouth. Crazy! Anyone ever see a cat do that?

I don't know about kibble, but my cat drinks this way (cups water in his paw and licks it out). Maybe they're evolving.

Best answer: It's not really that unusual.

My Siamese *never* does that. My Russian Blue does that every time she dines.

My aunt used to have a cat who loved cashews. He could reach up from under the coffee table and steal cashews off of a plate on the table -- picking the cashews out from among the other mixed nuts. So I think your cat is in an elite fraternity. :)

I think Maine coons do this as a matter of course. I've observed one of my calicoes do it, as well.
