Automating the creation of a Google map.

What's the easiest way to plot 400 addresses on a Google map?

I'd like to create a Google map featuring the businesses of a small downtown area, then embed that within a web page.
Using Google's My Maps, is it possible to import (or somehow configure) an existing database? Rather than spend hours doing it manually, how can I speed up the process? Perhaps there's a way to do this with Google Earth, then export a map?

FYI, you can import CSVs into Google Earth Pro.

The Google Maps API Blog just covered something like this by describing a way to dynamically generate a map using data in a Google Spreadsheet. Pretty cool. (By the way, I first encountered this info in a post on Google Maps Mania, a pretty nifty blog.)
