Blink-182_filter: In "The Party Song" from Enema of the State there is a line that goes like this :

"So I paid my 3 and the girls got in free
Shine the beer for tequila and we headed into the party"

So, what does it mean to "shine the beer for tequila"?

Where I come from, "shine" would mean "skip", as in "I totally shined school all last week."

Urban Dictionary entry number 20 for shine lists "to pass on an offer". A few other definitions are applicable and mean about the same thing, so oneirodynia seems to have nailed it.
