Question: Help Feed my Photo habit.

I'm looking for blogs that are focused on linking to good, interesting photos. The type of photo doesn't really matter. Photojournalism and fine art, landscapes, nature, street, wildlife, etc are all great (oversaturated stock photos that look like they belong on inspirational posters are not great). I'm not looking for blogs that feature the work of a single photographer. I am looking for blogs that express the POV of one person or a small group of people about what they find interesting.

I know about Flickr's interestingness section and I like it. I'm looking for something different. I'd like 1) to be exposed to photos beyond the world of Flickr 2)for the choices to express individual preferences, rather than "the wisdom of the crowd."

My favorite blog used to be HunkaButta. It was a blog kept by a Canadian who was living in Japan. He hasn't updated it since he moved back to Canada in 2005, but you can still look at the pictures.

Err, I'm not sure if there's a typo in your question because you say

I am looking for blogs that express the POV of one person

Anyway, if there's a difference between a POV and work, sorry. But I really like Travis Ruse. He posts daily (most of the time) pictures he's taken on the NYC subway. They're usually pretty interesting.

Thanks for raising that issue, jourman2.

Basically, I'm interested in photo streams curated by a single person (or small group), not a stream of photos created by a single photographer.

It's fine if some of the photos they select are on flickr, and come to think of it, cool flickr groups with moderated contributions would also be cool.

Dooce does a great daily photo stream. If you subscribe to her feed, you automatically get the daily photos.

Some of my favs:

• daily dose of imagery by Sam Javanrou. Toronto based and he captures all the things I love about my hometown..
• Always Curious by Charlie O'Shields from Kansas City. He's also got some great photos arranged via Flickr sets too.
•Thomas Hawk. San Francisco based - he takes a bunch of some of the events here in the Bay Area, but a lot of his other ones on objects are just stunning. He always has great titles for them too.
•Melyssa Anishnabie over at fragilemuse.org has some great darker imagery. She's based in Toronto.
• Lane Hartwell also has great stuff up on Flickr. San Francisco based.
