Question: Best heat transfer machine for homebrew T-shirts?

Homebrew T-shirt manufacturing: Among heat transfer machines under $450 and at least 9"x12" heat surface area, which model is the best bang for your buck?

I'm looking to design and create small batches of T-shirts using heat-transfer techniques. What's the best, inexpensive machine out there?

Depending on how many shirts you're planning on doing and how complex (ie colorful) the design is, you might be a lot better off getting a screen printing set up.

Screened shirts will always be of far superior quality and longevity and once you start doing more than just a couple the per shirt cost is a lot less too. Especially if you're looking to sell the shirts or grow what you're doing in any way, screening is the way to go.

The start up is a little more expensive for sure, but you can get some pretty great deals on used stuff if you look hard. For a couple hundred dollars more you should be able to grab a nice used press and flash dryer. And then there are a multitude of guides out there for DIY screen burning.
