Name the horror movie involving tarantulas?

Name the scary movie I can't remember. In one scene tarantulas crawl all over a bed and floor of a bedroom (I think it was a child's). I want to say that the plot may have involved a man who could bring about people's worst fears, but he may have been the devil.

Tarantulas were not central to the plot, so it is nothing like Arachnophobia or anything. It was just the only scene I really remember.

There's a scene in "Something Wicked This Way Comes" where the boys bedroom is covered in spiders. The circus guy, Mr Kruger is a devil-like character.

Well, the book is fantastic--exciting, frightening, and extremely lyrical. I've always been too frightened to watch the movie (spiders scare me).
