Angelfire websites are teh suck...

I've found the most incredible page on angelfire that just has to be shown to Metafilter. The problem is, well, it's angelfire...

The author is a russian woman who gives no contact details on her website. I'd love to share it with MeFi, but mirroring the images seems potentially dangerous. Thoughts?

It's not the woman riding a motorcycle through Chernobyl is it? Because that one has been posted before.

I'm really sorry if that came across snarky, but I haven't had my coffee yet.

Response by poster: can I just ask how the blue b*****y f**k I managed to miss that twice in under a month?

Godamnit. Oh well.

Okay, as a hypothetical then...?

Link it through FreeCache?

Not an ideal solution, as the caching doesn't seem to stick to subsequent links in the same site, just to the first one; but it would work well for links where the main focus is on a single page.

incidentally, i think that page has survived slashdotting twice - i guess it has a special deal with the hosting company (/. don't cache for people, do they?)

Why the fear of angelfire? Is it mean... or fragile?

silusGROK--Angelfire and many other free hosts have pretty tight limits on daily download volumes. A link to MeFi, and enough people would click through to hammer it quickly, frustrating everyone else.

Plus, it has popups'n'stuff.

Back to the original question--I haven't checked, but it may be archived at archive.org.

What does b*****y stand for? I can't find an appropriate adjective with the correct number of letters.

adamrice -- Oh. I thought Angelfire was a blogger.

Heh.

jjg: I think the missing letters are u-g-g-e-r - it's a Britishism.

I read it as "blue butterfly fuck." Not sure what that says about me.

Slashdot posted that link twice and there's been no fallout over the issue.

Wow, never noticed this link before. Very cool, in an eerie kinda' way.
BTW, there IS contact information on the last page, albeit snail-mail

Here is a mirror of the site that appears to have more bandwidth.

Signed, the guy whose blog is currently #1 in Google for "Chernobyl motorcycle."

I was going to suggest linking to it via archive.org's Wayback Machine, assuming they have a suitable copy. But the FreeCache solution may be a better way and it's being done by the Wayback Machine guys.

Response by poster: Thanks guys.

And yes, for some reason "blue buggery fuck" is a favourite term of confusion and dispair for me...
