I have a Windows-formatted ipod that I run a mac. I am having trouble manually adding artwork to my ipod. I am unable to add the artwork in itunes and then view it on my ipod. The artwork will show up in itunes, but not on the ipod. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help!

Why not reformat your iPod for a Mac?

In iTunes, click your ipod in the sidebar to access the options. Under the Music tab, at the bottom, make sure the "display album art" box is checked. Click apply and sync your ipod.

Also, this will only work if you have your iPod set to sync music content I think. If you prefer to manually add and delete songs, you can still do that even while you're in sync mode. Set iTunes to sync one manual playlist. You can add or delete from that playlist as you added and deleted from your ipod before. When you sync, the songs will be added/deleted from the iPod.

cowbellemoo has it. If you're manually updating your iPod and you've already copied the music to it before adding artwork, you're going to have to add it to the version in your computer's library and the iPod's. It keeps no link between the two copies of the song and has no idea to update artwork.

You can safely ignore nathan_teske's comment, if you like. I use a Windows-formatted iPod with my Mac all the time, as well as connecting it to my Windows system at work. That has nothing to do with artwork issues.

Probably a silly question, and not meant to be insulting...
How old is your iPod? Earlier generation iPods (i.e...the ones with b&w screens) can't display artwork.
