Suddenly my iPaq PDA won't sync with my PC - it apparently can't connect at all. Worse yet, when I try to connect it, my PC spontaneously restarts within the next 30 seconds, without fail. What's going on?

I'm running an HP iPaq 1950 with Windows Mobile 5. I haven't changed anything since I last tried to sync that I can recall - it's been since February or so. In an attempt to get Activesync to see the PDA I updated from version 4.1 to 4.5, and that's when the restarting problems began. I'm at a total loss for how to fix this, so any help is greatly appreciated, and I'm more than glad to provide whatever stats/specs/whatever might be helpful.

When I have issues syncing my iPaq (although, I've never had the rebooting issue) I try the following..

Changing the USB port
Doing a soft reset on the iPaq
Changing the activesync mode (Settings -> Connections -> ActiveSync Mode)
Uninstall and reinstall ActiveSync

And of course, before doing any of that I'd backup my iPaq and my Outlook .pst files (or whatever data from whatever program you're syncing with).

Good luck!
