Is there a way, when opening a file from a program, to right click within the "File Name:" dialogue box and get a list of the most frequent paths to folders available to choose from?

Is there a way, when opening a file from a program, to right click within the "File Name:" dialogue box and get a list of the most frequent paths to folders available to choose from? I have included a link to a picture that shows the area of what I am talking about...thanks - mh88

Not as far as I know (I am assuming you mean windows although you didn't specify). Would be nice though.

Take a look at an example of the kinds of Enhanced File Dialogs some people have built. In particular, at the top left, it sports a Recent Folders dropdown.

Not exactly what you are looking for, but with Microsoft's Tweak UI Powertoy you can change what folders/locations are listed in your "places" list (the icons to the left of the main window in the screenshot). This is for XP. There apparently is a TweakUI for Vista, but it's not made by Microsoft.

In the version of Windows I use at work (XP), there is an icon for this in the dialog box. It would be right under the word "right" in the text overlay of your diagram. You don't need to right click, you just left click on that icon to get to recent places.
