mother's day brunch in new york city.

I need to make brunch plans for a largish group (11) in new york city for mother's day. I live in park slope so i would prefer brooklyn or lower manhattan, but I'm up for anything. I had made tentative reservations at the river cafe in brooklyn, but it sounds a little too fancy, I don't want to end up spending 2k on brunch!
My requirements:
1. takes reservations.
2. some normal type brunch food for grandma and timid eaters
3. not outragiously pricey (50 a person would be nice)
4. able to handle a party this large, in terms of staff and space.

I would ideally like it to be some place "cool", either nice setting or nice food or somehow new york-ish.

Thanks for your suggestions!

(If you don't find exactly what you're looking for here you might also want to try asking at and browsing Chowhound, where this is a very typical sort of question. (See their Manhattan and Outer Boroughs sections.))
