Question: Help me find a menu that doesn't suck

I need a good DHTML menu package.

I'm designing a web application and right now I've got a basic Suckerfish dropdown menu, but I want something with a little more style. I would love to use something like radmenu but my app is written in ColdFusion not .net. I need a recommendation, it's no problem if it costs a few hundred bucks.

I'm not sure if this would work for your project or not, but I've used OpenCube's Quickmenu Pro with some success on several projects.

DynamicDrive.com has bunches of stuff. Look around here and see if something grabs your eye.

The Ultimate Dropdown Menu is going to set you back $15, but is pretty much top of the line in terms of flexibility and coding elegance.

The sourcecode for what is essentially UDM is covered in full in this book, which is probablyone of the best general JavaScripting books out there.

This is free, and incorporates dozens of css-menu styles to mess around with and hoick. Highly recommended if you need some canned shortcut code.

This is under a fairly permissive license, and is entirely html and css, meaning it doesn't matter what environment you're using. Check out the rest of the site, most of it is pretty cool

entirely html and css, meaning it doesn't matter what environment you're using.

Hmm... generally I've found the opposite.
