Question: Best Associated Press Host?

What's the best news site to link to for AP articles? Are there any free news sites that permanently archive their wire stories?

I used to link to MyWay articles because there were no ads, no registration, and the links seemed to last a long time. Now, it seems like every AP article "expires" after about 3 months. And there's no way to search.

Neither CNN nor Yahoo News keep wire stories up for long.

Surely, there has to be a site that keeps a permanent, searchable archives of AP articles? Or is LexisNexis the only option?

AP requires that licensees not archive AP content indefinitely. Presumably Lexis pays them well.

Cannot guarantee "permanent," but I work at MSNBC.com and our AP stories certainly don't expire after 3 months. I'm still seeing stories from 2005 on the site.

I'm a big fan of NewsVine and I believe that none of the AP articles expire.

That's interesting GaelFC, I thought ALL Associated Press articles expired. Hmmm.

All I said was that they don't expire after three months. Reuters stories on the other hand have a much shorter shelf life due to the agreement with them.

Does MSNBC.com (or any other news site) explain their expiration policies anywhere online? That would be helpful.
