How do I get my rug to relax?

My rug's been working out lately. Lots of push ups, but mostly CURLS.

So a great little area rug I have in my living room is starting to curl on one of the corners. I found this resource but it basically says to get someone to come uncurl it. I've already tried putting a massive amount of weight on it as well as threats, beatings and remonstrations, but little seems to motivate. Is there an inexpensive, do-it-yourself solution anyone out there has found to de-curl a stubborn rug?

Place it upside down between your mattress and box spring for a few nights. Might work. Doubls stick tape on each corner? Roll it up opposite of the way it's curling and let it sit for a few days with rubber bands around it.

I nailed my rug to the floor with tiny finish tacks. If the pile is deep enough for the nail head not to show and you don't like the underfloor so much you wouldn't want little holes, it works really well.

It would help if you showed a picture of the rug, but you could try blocking it (as if it were a sweater). Use a sponge (or whatever) to get it damp, then stretch it flat and nail it onto something (the floor, a door, doesn't matter) with galvanized (or non-ferrous) nails. Let it dry, remove the nails, and voila!

A quick and dirty hack would be to get double sided duct tape and tape a cut out piece of cardboard to the bottom.
