Whiny Power Supply

I have a 350 watt antec power supply that whines when I pull the plug. If I turn it off and back on 3 or 4 times, the whine goes away and the computer boots. The whine is coming from the PC Speaker. I should know better and get a new one, but do I run the risk of damaging my components by using it? If the plug stays in the computer will turn back on.

Yes. Any PSU acting weirdly is a menace -- every valuable part of your box is attached to it in one way or another.
