Good Blog Portals?

Are there any good blog portals out there?

I tried Googling, but the only promising result (blogwise) won't open. What do people use? I'm mainly interested in being able to find blogs by topic.

What exactly do you mean by topic? I run The Weblog Review which has over 1400 sites that have been reviewed. Granted not all of those sites are still up and running, but it does have a good database of sites.
