Problem with XP thumbnails sticking

I didn't used to have this problem before, but in my Windows XP the thumbnails for files in My Documents keep sticking anywhere you place them instead of automatically lining up.

Example:

Wherever I right click to create a new folder, the folder will be created in that exact spot I clicked. The only way I can get the files to align is by hitting "Arrange icons by..." I tried going in Tools --> Folder Options and changing some options but nothing works.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

You need to have "Auto Arrange" checked.
